About UCLA Plastic Surgery

At UCLA safe and competent care is our primary concern. Our surgical staff consists of seven board-certified plastic surgeons that are trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery

At UCLA’s Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery you can be seen by one of our seven Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. We also have a Plastic Surgery resident clinic. At that clinic you can have less expensive cosmetic surgery (25%-30% lower than that of the board certified plastic surgeons), surgery that is supervised by board-certified attending surgeons who are accredited by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, by a Department known as one of the top programs in the country and meets the highest safety standards. Ronald Regan Medical Center and its clinics are rated the ‘Best in the West’ for the 14th year in a row.

We also have a medical tattoo artist and University Cosmetics Skincare line to compliment the care you receive in our state-of-the-art clinic.

The most important element in deciding on a cosmetic procedure is making an informed decision. Sometimes we live with an element in our appearance that bothers us and getting an elective procedure could be that decision that opens up a whole new world of self-empowerment and confidence about one’s appearance. Almost everyone has something they want to improve about their face or body and making the right decisions can optimize those results.

Board-Certified plastic surgeons train for thirteen years. Most people seeking some face or body improvements have an idea of want they want but would like some basic guidance. In navigating through what can be a very scary process, selecting the right surgeon is paramount. Important questions to ask include

Is the plastic surgeon board certified (by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons)?

Do you have defined goals that you what to achieve with the surgeon?

Does the surgeon s goals match yours? (Are you on the same page with the surgeon?)

Are the costs for an elective procedure with the surgeon of your choice within your limits or are you compromising care and safety because of price?

Do you connect and communicate with your surgeon?

These are just some of the questions to consider when deciding to do an elective surgery.
