In August of 2006, I lost my best friend to cancer. He was also my lover and husband of 20 years. By Christmas, I was still so depressed that I didn't even want to leave my house and found that I would lie awake night after night (usually crying) unable to sleep. Then, I stumbled onto the fact that walking instead of lying in bed trying to sleep seemed to make me feel better. Yes, as crazy as it was, I started walking up and down my country road in the middle of the night.
Now, this was no easy feat as I was extremely overweight and, at first, could only walk very short distances. So I bought myself two things, a good pair of tennis shoes and a pedometer. I told myself that I would walk at least one more step each day (night) than I had the day before. I never missed a day...rain, sleet, or snow (you know, like a postman).
Not only was the walking keeping me from going off the deep end (what do they call those things that give you a natural high...endorphins?), pounds and more pounds started to disappear. I dropped from a size 26-28 to a pant size of 6. Unbelievable! I felt like Maria in "West Side Story"... "Who is that pretty girl in the mirror there?"
After keeping the 130 lbs. that I had lost off for over a year, I finally convinced my HMO doctor to refer me to a plastic surgeon (because, of course, I had saggy, baggy, hanging skin everywhere.) Well, the big day came, the nurse showed me into the room and told me "The doctor will be with you shortly."
Imagine my surprise when the door opened and there stood Doogie Houser! I kid you not (pun intended)! This guy looked like he was way younger than my son...maybe even young enough to be my grandson. Well, as the old saying goes, "Don't judge a book by its cover". That turned out to be one of the luckiest days of my life.
Not only is Dr. Chris Nichols one of the finest, most talented, plastic surgeons you will ever hope to meet; but also, one of the most caring and considerate physicians I have ever encountered. He listened to me, answered question after question, and he and Nurse Kris (and all of the other ladies in the office) were never too busy to take my phone calls, allay my concerns, and just plain take outstanding care of me.
Dr. Nichols has removed hanging excess skin from my arms, tummy, and thighs. My stomach hasn't looked this flat and smooth for over 40 years! Yes, I am turning 65 this year but my body sure isn't! Thank you over and over Dr. Nichols for all that you have done for me.

I was just recently in and just had my 1yr follow up with you after my breast augmentation. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the sensational job you did with me! I'm so pleased not only with the results but with how well your staff treated me. I had been considering the surgery for approx. 5 years and had more than a few consultations from Olympia all the way up to Seattle.
I had chosen my surgeon and about 1 week before I was scheduled to go in, I heard of you and went ahead and made the appt to speak with you. Needless to say I was blown away! My own gynecologist in Seattle was doing my annual breast exam and she made the comment "I've seen some bad jobs and some good jobs but this .....WOW, it takes the gold!" then she proceeded to ask for your name!
I'll never be able to emphasis enough how wonderful it is to feel like the women I once was before I breastfed my little bundle of joy. It was so hard to be secure with myself and even difficult to be intimate w/my own partner after the damage breastfeeding did to me but having had my surgery has mended my self esteem and for that I can never be grateful enough. Thank you Dr. Nichols for all you did. I will continue to forever sing your praises.

I attended a seminar that was conducted at your office a month ago introducing new procedures and skin products.
One of the products discussed was Dysport, which is the same as Botox, it has been used in Europe for a number of years, and was recently approved by the FDA here in the United States.
I have used Botox in the past, I thought why not try Dysport to see if there was any differences between the two products. For me, I saw a result within three days using Dysport. Botox took up to one week. Both products are good, but I do like that Dysport works fater.
