Michael V. Elam, M.D. and his staff strive to provide a professional, state of the art plastic surgery experience. The experience continues with Dr. Elam providing an honest and informative evaluation of each patient; this extended consultation allows all patients to clearly communicate their concerns and desires directly to him.

Breast Procedures - Dr. Elam has performed thousands of breast augmentation procedures and they continue to be a mainstay of his practice. It is important to find an experienced surgeon and to establish a good rapport. Feel free to ask to speak to former patients about their experience. You will be pleased to discover how breast augmentation can make you feel youthful, and more attractive than ever before. Often this evaluation is done on an imaging computer enabling the patient to see the proposed post-operative result.

Facial Procedures - Having an overall "tired look," is an often complaint heard by Dr. Elam and his staff. He specializes in a natural lift to rejuvenate your face with minimal incisions or the usual tell tale signs of plastic surgery. You will be complemented on how youthful and rested you look and not on your new procedure. Dr. Elam gained national attention when he transformed Phyllis Diller in the 80's and facial surgery has continued to be a forefront of his successful practice.

Body Procedures - Dr. Elam began to practice liposuction in 1982 and is the past president of the American Society of Liposuction Surgery. Dr. Elam co authored one of the first textbooks on Liposuction surgery and has personally trained many physicians in the art of body sculpting. Since 1982 he has continually strived to increase the safety and effectiveness of the procedure. It is Dr. Elam's experience that patients judge results not only by the amount of fat removed, but also by the post- surgical appearance of their skin. With proper surgical technique you are able to remove large volumes of fat while also creating a smooth and contoured appearance to the skin.

Dr. Michael Elam has been practicing in Newport Beach since 1979 and is a founding member and past president of the America Society of Liposuction Surgery. He is a noted author, lecturer and has performed thousands of cosmetic procedures.
