About the Surgeon
Dr. Todd M. Gerlach is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify plastic surgeons). He specializes in cosmetic surgery to the face, neck, breast and body contouring. Dr. Gerlach completed his plastic surgery training at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2000. His training emphasized aesthetic/cosmetic and breast surgery. Dr. Gerlach actively continues his training nationally, keeping up with the latest technology and healing techniques. Dr. Gerlach is recognized by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a candidate of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Originally from Southern California, he attended college at the University of California at Riverside, graduating with a major in biochemistry. After college, Dr. Gerlach moved to Chicago to continue his career at the Chicago Medical School, followed by general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Gerlach's passion for anatomy, and meticulous attention to detail, has fueled his talent as a gifted cosmetic surgeon who understands millimeters can make a substantial difference.
Dr. Gerlach has headed as well as participated in many research projects, presentations and publications. His research efforts have spanned many years and at multiple facilities. Dr. Gerlach has earned his reputation not only for surgical skills, but also for his compassionate bedside manner, attentive patient care and patient education. He stresses patient confidentiality. Dr. Gerlach strives to provide patients a comfortable, relaxing setting and attentive service. The office is equipped for both non-surgical and surgical treatment of aging. Non-surgical treatments include microdermabrasion, skin care products, laser hair removal and post-operative wound care including camouflage techniques.
