About the Surgeon
At Plastic & Hand Surgical Associates, the importance of a strong, personal relationship between patient and physician is understood and every effort is made to maintain the individuality of that relationship. We want you to feel comfortable with your care - please be aware that our staff is always happy to discuss your concerns and suggestions.
Our clinical staff includes registered occupational therapists, x-ray technicians, registered nurses, surgical technicians, nurse practitioners and a physician assistant.
Dr. Vaughan is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is on the teaching faculty of the Lahey Clinic and also serves as a clinical instructor at Maine Medical Center for the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Dr. Vaughan graduated from Haverford College and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. Dr. Vaughan completed a fellowship in plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore with training in hand and microvascular surgery, and a fellowship in aesthetic surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He joined Plastic & Hand Surgical Associates in 1999.
