A consultation with a plastic surgeon should be a gratifying and exciting event - the beginning of a relationship of mutual understanding and respect, during which each person listens to what the other has to say, and each answers honestly. After the patient's problems and desires are studied, the examination is concluded, and all questions are answered, a reasonable plan of treatment can be decided upon. If a surgical procedure is performed, it should be done with the utmost precision and care, for both the patient and the patient's family. In the end, if it is worth doing, it is worth doing right, because " almost perfect" is not good enough.
