About the Doctor
Peter J. McKenna, M.D., is a member of one the Midwest's most successful and highly respected plastic surgery groups, The Cincinnati Institute of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has been selected by his peers multiple times as a Cincinnati "Top Doctor" in Cincinnati Magazine.
Specializing in cosmetic surgery, Dr. McKenna has completed board certification in general and plastic surgery. He is a member of the prestigious American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has published articles for journals and written a book chapter on plastic surgery.
Dr. McKenna currently serves as Director of Plastic Surgery at the Bethesda Hospitals. He is the plastic surgeon on the Bethesda Breast Center. Having a strong interest in community service and concern for others, Dr. McKenna has participated in broad humanitarian outreach, including serving as the Chairman for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life benefit for breast cancer and as plastic surgeon on the Interplast charitable trip to Brazil. Interplast is a volunteer organization that recruits medical volunteers to spend two weeks serving third-world countries. While in Brazil, Dr. McKenna performed such reconstructive surgeries as cleft lips and palates.
