About the Surgeon
Dr. Gardner wants each of his patients to experience an unparalleled level of service. From the moment the consultation is initiated to the last postoperative visit, he and his staff are dedicated to providing a warm, relaxed environment with privacy, safety and comfort as top priorities. Originally from Sarasota, Dr. Gardner’s career began with an appointment to the faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he practiced for 10 years, attaining the rank of Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery with tenure. In addition to a busy clinical practice operating five days a week, he was actively involved in academic pursuits. He has authored a number of book chapters, journal articles and has lectured extensively at national meetings and workshops. He has received teaching awards including surgery faculty teacher of the year,, as well as being recognized by several organizations as one of America’s Top Physicians.
Dr. Gardner is board certified in both general surgery and plastic surgery. He has recently completed recertification with both boards, and is up to date with the latest advances in the field of cosmetic surgery. A compassionate humanitarian, he volunteers two weeks of each year to travel with Operation Smile, correcting facial deformities in children. He wishes to devote that same compassion and care to you in seeking a natural and beautiful result.
