The Aesthetic Surgery Institute of America (also known as ASIA) was established by Drs. Nicole and Jayen Patel in 2008 and opened its doors for consultations in early 2009. ASIA is a highly sought after cosmetic surgery destination for those who seek quality care with boutique style service. Female patients are especially comforted by the stress-free environment of a female surgeon and full female staff.

Dr. Nicole Patel moved with her husband and son to Tulsa, Oklahoma in December 2008. She was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois with her two brothers. Competitive gymnastics was her focus during childhood; she earned the gold medal in the all-around at the State Championships. Balance beam was always her favorite event!

Her vision to become a cosmetic surgeon was apparent as early as middle school, when she spent time with local plastic surgeons and volunteered in community hospital operating rooms. Academics were very important to her; she was the Valedictorian of her high school class. Dr. Patel went on to complete her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with highest Departmental Distinction. From there she was accepted into Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois; Rush has been named as one of the top five academic medical centers by the University Health-System Consortium.

Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Patel was offered a position in the general surgery program at Mount Sinai Cabrini Medical Center in New York. During her residency, she was asked to be the administrative chief surgical resident during her final year. She subsequently passed her written and oral boards, becoming board certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Her specialty training in cosmetic surgery brought her to Tulsa where she completed a full face and body cosmetic surgery fellowship, making her eligible for board certification by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Patel has now developed a unique practice in Tulsa, as she is the only female cosmetic surgeon in the area. Her patients are very important to her, but she always makes time for her family. She is a mother and wife, as well as a surgeon.
