About the Doctor
The mission at Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, Inc. is to provide the highest standard of patient care in a specialized, multifaceted, professional office that has a unique concept in beauty and health; dedicated to providing the highest standard to our patients, both clinically and scientifically.
John F. Zavell, M.D. chose Northwest Ohio to establish a breast and cosmetic plastic surgery practice. Once established, he furthered his post graduate education with additional training in minimally invasive surgery and endoscopic facial and body procedures.Dr.Zavell is actively involved in clinical research of breast implant technology. With the advent of massive weight loss surgery, Dr.Zavell has expanded his practice to include body contouring surgery after massive weight loss.
Dr. Zavell is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. In his third term, he continues to be Chairman of Plastic Surgery at Flower Hospital and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Dr. Zavell also volunteers as a participant in medical missions to South America, operating on adults and children with facial and traumatic deformities.
