About the Surgeon

Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon David M. Whiteman, M.D., founded
Southern Plastic Surgery in 1993 and is committed to making your cosmetic
surgery experience as easy and comfortable as possible. He takes his
responsibility as your cosmetic surgeon very seriously and makes sure he
gets to know each and every patient that comes into his office.

During your consultation, Dr. Whiteman will ask you about yourself your likes and your dislikes. Learning about you is just as important to him as learning what procedure you are requesting and he encourages you to ask as many questions as possible. Dr Whiteman may actually discourage a procedure if he doesn't believe it will help you reach your goals, or if he believes it may be harmful to your health.

Dr. Whiteman is currently the Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Gwinnett
Medical Center (Duluth & Lawrenceville) and is dedicated to breast cancer
research, education, and prevention. He devotes his time regularly
counseling breast cancer patients and speaking to hospitals and
associations.
