About the Surgeon
At Plastic & Hand Surgical Associates, the importance of a strong, personal relationship between patient and physician is understood and every effort is made to maintain the individuality of that relationship. We want you to feel comfortable with your care - please be aware that our staff is always happy to discuss your concerns and suggestions.
Our clinical staff includes registered occupational therapists, x-ray technicians, registered nurses, surgical technicians, nurse practitioners and a physician assistant.
Dr. Fitz is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition to his surgical practice, Dr. Fitz is on the teaching faculty of the Lahey Clinic and serves as a clinical assistant professor at Maine Medical Center for the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He has clinical privileges at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway, New Hampshire, where he also sees patients and performs surgery. Dr. Fitz graduated from Harvard College and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Maine Medical Center and his residency in plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, with training in microvascular surgery. Dr. Fitz joined Plastic & Hand Surgical Associates in 1987.
