About the Doctor
Cosmetic surgery is unique in the world of surgery – it is performed because a person desires a change, not because they medically "need" one.
No two individuals are alike.
It is therefore extremely important that the change desired is communicated well between the patient and surgeon, and that is why I feel consultations need to involve the patient and physician, not a “patient coordinator” or other substitute. Consultations focus on the procedure(s) desired, as well as any options related to those procedures – taking into account a patient’s history, present physical exam, lifestyle and desired goals.
After the initial consultation, patients will frequently return for a second or even third visit prior to surgery, to ensure they have a thorough understanding of their chosen procedure(s).
