Dr. Nichols earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University, at that time he also did Microbiology and Ecologic Bioremediation Research for the Department of Energy. Dr. Nichols attended the University of Florida College of Medicine and earned his MD in 2001, he subsequently trained in General Surgery at Columbia's Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York from 2001-2004. Dr. Nichols graduated from Washington University in Saint Louis specializing in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in April 2008.

Dr. Nichols is passionate about all aspects of Plastic Surgery and has had extensive training in breast surgery, pediatric and craniofacial surgery, trauma and cancer reconstruction, microsurgery, hand and peripheral nerve surgery, as well as body contouring, facial aesthetic surgery and cosmetic injectables including Botox, Juvederm and Restylane. Dr. Nichols is certified by Sculptra to treat HIV patients with lipoatrophy. Dr. Nichols is a member of the Maxifacial Team of Southwest Washington, treating and caring for children with cleft lips and palates.
