Breast Enhancement & Enlargement
The reasons for having breast enhancement are numerous and
varied. Some women feel that their breast size is too small for their
body contours, while others may be seeking to turn the clock back on the
effects of age and gravity. A lack of symmetry and living with the
discomfort of ill-fitting clothing that comes as a result; lost volume
due to weight loss or pregnancy; coping with missing or misshapen
breasts as a result of trauma or disease (such as cancer); any of these
reasons and more may prompt a woman to seek surgical enhancement of her
breasts.
If you are considering breast enlargement or enhancement, be prepared to spend time with the plastic surgeon you choose to review breast implant possibilities. One of the first steps is in the many measurements that go into selecting the right breast implant. Sagging, Asymmetry, Width, Nipple Size and Shape, Cleavage and several other determining factors are all taken into consideration. Plastic surgeons take many precautions through measurements to ensure that the appropriate breast implant is selected. Today, there are many types of breast implants for women to select from. These implants are designed with consideration for different chest wall sizes as well. There are many width sizes of breast implants to choose from and varying projection profiles to select from. Breast doctors take much time to calculate precise measurements and custom fit the right breast implants for their patients.

Breast Reduction
Patients who undergo breast reduction surgery frequently are seeking relief from physical symptoms caused by the excessive weight of large breasts. Breast reduction usually can solve these problems as well as improve the size and shape of your breasts. Breast reduction can be performed at any age, but plastic surgeons usually recommend waiting until breast development has stopped. The most common method for breast reduction surgery involves three incisions. One incision is made around the areola while another incision runs vertically down from the bottom of the areola ( edge ) to underneath the breast crease. The third incision follows the natural curve of the crease. The nipple and areola are shifted to a higher position after the plastic surgeon has removed excess tissue of the skin, breasts and fat. In large breasts the areola usually has stretched which can be repaired and reduced in size with surgery. Skin that was located above the nipple is brought down to reshape the breasts. Usually, the nipples and areolas remain attached to underlying mounds of tissue, and this allows for the preservation of sensation. A breast lift is often included during reduction surgery.
